Resort Amenities

Mountain Shadows Resort and Rentals features many amenities to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. While staying in our Gatlinburg cabin rentals, we hope you will enjoy these resort extras!

Cabins

Nearly every cabin has a front and back deck, complete with a grill and a large hot tub. Another feature common to most cabins is a gas fireplace. Other cabin features may be: game rooms, indoor Jacuzzis, mountain views, washer/dryer and wireless internet capability. Because the cabins are individually owned, some features may vary. A complete listing of each cabin’s offerings is listed on the cabin’s web page. Pet friendly cabins are available!

Resort Grounds

Mountain Shadows Resort features outdoor swimming pools in Phase 1 and in the Playground area of Phase 2. There is an outdoor pavilion located in Phase 2 playground area also.

Walking Trails

Perfect for taking in the natural, woodsy surroundings that complete your resort experience, a number of walking trails in the Smoky Mountain National Park are just minutes from your cabin.

The Cub House

Great for wedding receptions, family reunions, corporate meetings, church retreats or any kind of social gathering. The Cub House features a full kitchen, a gas fireplace and a great room that can seat up to 25 people comfortably. We can provide tables and chairs for your event.

Resort Pools

Registered guests staying at Mountain Shadows are encouraged to use our seasonally open swimming pools. One pool is located in Phase 1, just above The Cub House cabin. The other is located in Phase 2 adjacent to the Resort playground and pavilion. Opening date varies but normally occurs by Memorial Day weekend. The pool closes after the Labor Day holiday weekend when cool weather arrives.

Resort Pavilion

Our guests may want to have a cookout or picnic and our outdoor Pavilion is a great place to gather under roof in a wooded setting. Registered guests can reserve the Pavilion; subject to availability on a first come, first served basis.

Resort Playground

Our guests may want to enjoy a swing on the swing set or playing horseshoes at the Resort Playground. Adjacent to our outdoor Pavilion, the playground is a great place to gather for a little playing around. Registered guests can just drop by and enjoy on a first come, first served basis.

We are pleased to offer assistance in securing discount tickets as well as providing information on a host of in-cabin services. If there’s anything else you might want on your Gatlinburg vacation, ask us. We are here to make your Mountain Shadows experience everything you want it to be.

Professional Massages

Therapeutic massages are available right in your own Smoky Mountain rental cabin! Professionals are trained in Swedish massage, trigger point massage, hot stone therapy, face & scalp massage and hands & feet massage. Also available are hot mud wraps and “Steam Tunnel” detoxifying therapeutic steam baths.
